The Routes

Explore the 3 different routes below:

Each route starts and finishes at Sonning Common Primary School on Grove Road. There are 3 routes of 6, 12 or 20 miles along stunningly quiet-asphalt-surfaced country lanes.

Registering

Entry fees are £7 per person, in advance.

Enter before Friday 22nd March 2024 and you can enter into a free draw to win a fabulous new bike, kindly donated by AW Cycles.

Entries for the bike ride on the day will be £10 per person, subject to availability.

The Start

Please arrive by 10am for a 10:30am start. Registration and facilities are open from 9am. All those riding the 20 mile route will start first, to help ease congestion in the village and along the first few miles. Riders will set off in groups of about a dozen, at one minute intervals. Children under 16 must be under the authority of a responsible adult and stay with that adult for the duration of the cycle.

Travel & Parking

Please make your way to the Primary School ideally ‘On Your Bike’ but if you need to drive, please avoid parking on Grove Road (from the school entrance to Kennylands Road). Parking is available at the Health Centre or Village Hall car park.

Refreshments

Breakfast baps will be served from 9:00am onwards. Tea, coffee and homemade cakes will be available throughout the morning.

Support for the Riders

There will be regular way markers on the routes and marshals at certain points, including all road crossings. An emergency number will be issued on the day should you need to summon help. First Aid will be provided by Sonning Common First Responders.

Event photography

Kathryn Fell will be out capturing smiles on the day. If you do not want to be photographed, please put a red cross through your number and do not stand in the group photo.
